Prato- Sornico
Prato- Sornico was 1864-2004 a municipality in the district Lavizzara, in the district of Valle Maggia the canton of Ticino in Switzerland.
It was formed from the merger of Prato (Valle Maggia ) and Sornico and 2004 ended with Broglio, Brontallo, Fusio, Menzonio and Peccia in the parish of Lavizzara on.
The former Federal Councillor Flavio Cotti (1987-1999 in office) was a citizen of Prato- Sornico. The municipal area worked in the 18th century, the Roman Catholic clergy and the library's founder Giovanni Giulio Gerolamo Berna.
