Prefectural University of Hiroshima

The prefecture Hiroshima University (Japanese県 立 広 島 大学, Hiroshima Kenritsu daigaku; engl Prefectural University of Hiroshima, in short: PUH. ) Is a public university in Japan. The main campus is located in Minami- ku, Hiroshima in Hiroshima Prefecture.

History

The prefecture Hiroshima University was founded through the merger of three colleges Prefecture in 2005. The three were:

  • The (older) Prefectural University of Hiroshima (広 島 県 立 大学, Hiroshima kenritsu daigaku, Eng. Hiroshima Prefectural University, in Shobara, founded in 1954 ),
  • The prefectural Women's University, Hiroshima (県 立 広 島 女子 大学, Hiroshima Kenritsu joshi daigaku, founded in Hiroshima, 1920) and
  • The Prefecture College of Nursing Science Hiroshima (広 島 県 立 保健 福祉 大学, Hiroshima kenritsu hoken Fukushi daigaku in Mihara, founded in 1995 ).

(older) Prefectural University of Hiroshima

The (older) Prefectural University of Hiroshima was (広 島 农业 短期 大学, Hiroshima nōgyō tanki daigaku ) founded in 1954 as the Agricultural Short Hiroshima University. The short university was in Higashihiroshima and had two departments: Agriculture and animal husbandry. The former campus in Higashihiroshima is now the seat of the Hiroshima Central Science Park ( 34 ° 23 ' 55 "N, 132 ° 44 ' 5" O34.398497222222132.73477222222 ).

In 1989, she was elevated to the (older) Prefecture Hiroshima University and moved to the present Shobara campus. She had two faculties (Business Administration and resources) and in 1994 founded the Master's programs, 1998, the doctoral courses.

Prefectural Women's University, Hiroshima

The Women's University has established its origins in the 1920 Advanced Course of the Secondary School for Girls Hiroshima. The advanced course developed in 1928 to wife Technical School Hiroshima (広 島 女子 専 门 学校, Hiroshima joshi Semmon Gakko ) with three departments (Japanese literature, health care and clothing). On 6 August 1945 it was harmed by the atomic bomb and lost 11 people.

In 1950, she became the women's short Hiroshima University, Hiroshima University in 1965 then to the woman with two faculties ( humanities and home economics ). In 2000 she founded the Masters Courses and changed its name to prefectural woman Hiroshima University.

Prefecture College of Nursing Science Hiroshima

The college was founded in 1995 as a short prefectural University of Nursing Science Hiroshima. In 2000 she was promoted to four -year high school Prefecture.
