President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness

The President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board ( in short: PERAB ) is an advisory body of the Government of the United States. It was unveiled on 26 November 2008 by President Barack Obama and founded on February 6, 2009. The board has been established, chaired by the former chairman of the Central Bank, Paul Volcker. On February 8, 2011 Volcker resigned. The Economic Recovery Advisory Board follows the model of the President's Intelligence Advisory Board, established by Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956.

Task of the board is the same to provide regular reports on the financial crisis and possible measures against negative impacts.

Every two years is to be checked whether the committee will continue to exist.
