Princess Louise of Saxe-Meiningen

Wilhelmine Luise Christine of Saxe- Meiningen (* August 6, 1752 in Frankfurt am Main, † June 3, 1805 in Kassel) was a Princess of Saxe -Meiningen and by marriage Countess of Hesse- Philippsthal - Barchfeld.

Life

Louise was a daughter of the Duke Anton Ulrich von Sachsen -Meiningen (1687-1763) from his second marriage to Charlotte Amalie (1730-1801), daughter of Count Karl I of Hesse - Philippsthal.

Luise married on October 18, 1781 in Meiningen, Landgrave of Hesse- Adolf Philipp Thal- Barchfeld ( 1743-1803 ). Even in her marriage contract that her mother graduated as guardian of her brother Duke Karl of Saxe- Meiningen Landgrave Adolf, was determined that the " future wife wife on our princes and princesses, as long as such are a minor, alone guardianship and administration of our men should hold royal children related assets.
