The Professor Molchanov (Russian Профессор Молчанов ) is a named after the Soviet meteorologist Pavel Molchanov eisverstärktes ( ice class UL/1A Super ) Research and cruise ship Akademik - Schuleykin class.

The principal of the end of 1982 in a Finnish shipyard overflowed the stack research vessel Akademik the Schuleykin - class was the Soviet Union, to which it was delivered after completion.

Until the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the ship was used as a research vessel for the Arctic and ozeanologische research. It took 34 trips, including three global hydrological research cruises.
