Prom Queen - One of a kind (or The Chaos Ball - A Date in a roundabout way, in the original Prom Queen: The Marc Hall Story) is a Canadian film from 2004 with Aaron Ashmore in the lead role. It tells the story of Marc Hall. The film is based on a true story.

Action

Marc Hall lives in the small town Inniston in Canada and is there a Catholic high school. His friends, open-minded teacher and his parents (but later ) know that he is gay. But when he wants to prom take his friend, it rejects the rector. Marc and his parents contact the school board, but also this place that does not fit "homosexual" and "Catholic" together. Marc will not accept this and is fighting for his right and suddenly his story in the press.

S. James Wegg described the film as enjoyable to look at, but fun for the whole family and praised the music (" a pleasure to watch" ... "music tracks, sound great" ... "it's fun for the whole family " ).

Awards

2005, the film was nominated in two categories at the Gemini Awards, namely Jean Pierre Bergeron for Best Supporting Actor and Mike Lee for the best cut.
