Przemęt, Greater Poland Voivodeship
Przemęt ( [ pʃɛmɛnt ] ( German Priment ) is a municipality in Wolsztyński powiat in Poland, Wielkopolska Region. It is located 16 km west of the city Śmigiel.

History
Priment is probably inhabited since the 8th century. 1070 here was a castle district with the seat of a Castellan. In the 13th century Priment received the Magdeburg rights. With the final consolidation of the Silesian- Wielkopolska limit ( 1343 ), the castle lost its importance and why it was in 1408 - devastated by a previous fire - the Cistercian monastery Mariensee ( Lacus Mariae ) in the absence (Polish Wieleń Zaobrzański ) available for purchase.
Since 1418, the monastery is located in Priment ( monastery Przemęt ). The Swedish - Polish War ( 1656) of Brandenburg commander Andreas Derfflinger stormed the castle, the surrounding area has been looted. As a consequence of the Second Partition of Poland Priment became part of the Prussian state. Since the city had only 300 inhabitants, it town was withdrawn on June 1, 1797. The monastery was secularized and consequently disbanded in 1834.
1919 Priment, which had previously belonged to the German district Bomst, part of the newly established Polish state. In 1928, the management of a large community ( gmina ) was established in Przemęt. Today the community Przemęt is part of the Natural Park of Primenter Cistercian country and the powiat Wolsztyński.

- The former monastery church of St. John the Baptist with its imposing baroque two -tower facade was built 1651-1690 and 1758/59 rebuilt after a fire in 1742.
