Psyche (Band)

Psyche is a Canadian band, among other things, entitled " Unveiling the Secret" had a worldwide success in the 1980s.

Originally the band consisted of two brothers, the singer Darrin Huss and his brother Stephen, who appeared as keyboardist. The latter was diagnosed with schizophrenia. The band then continued to work with guest keyboardists. Psyche (originally from Q Lazzarus from the movie The Silence of the Lambs) internationally known for her 1996 recording of the song created " Goodbye Horses ". Followed in 2001 with the song "Sanctuary" yet another international success of the band with a new cast.

Darrin Huss ( singer ) lived some time in Hannover, Kassel and Bochum ago.

Psyche existed since her first appearance on 13 December 1982 and has since published eleven albums. The DVD " Imaginary Life" provides an overview of a 25-year period of creativity. The band was the opening act of 1991, Anne Clark on their European tour. 2005 after the release of " The 11th Hour " was psyche as a guest with Diary of Dreams on a European tour. This album managed the # 1 position of the DAC for 5 weeks.

Twenty years after the first publication psyche has presented in 2006 with " Unveiling The Secret 2.0" an album that contains several completely new arrangement of the song " Unveiling the Secret."

In 2008, the band released a limited 7 "single with a cover version of the Joy Division classic" Disorder ". The B-side contains an acoustically arranged live recording of the 1988 song " Eternal ".

After several concerts in Germany, Mexico, Finland and Belgium followed the live album "Noche Oscura (Live in Mexico) ". This CD was released at the same time to Psyche's second appearance in Mexico on March 14, 2009. Then completed a psyche fourth appearance at the Wave -Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig.

Psyche expanded the line-up for a four - to five -piece band for their next concerts in Germany and a recent appearance at the " Castle Party " on July 24 in Bolków, Poland.

The U.S. label Metropolis Records released the meantime with 'Until the Shadows " a new Retrospective compilation with revised and previously unreleased material.
