Ptýrov

Ptýrov ( German: Pteirow ) is a municipality with 177 inhabitants in Okres Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic.

Geography

The community consists of four villages, which are in five kilometers from the city Mnichovo Hradiště on the west bank of the Jizera. Neighboring towns are Mnichovo Hradiště, Klášter Hradiště nad Jizerou, Bakov nad Jizerou and Nová Ves u Bakova. The western boundary is the protected forest area Klokočka. The community is dominated by agriculture and forestry.

History

The villages Ptýrov, Ptýrovec and Maníkovice 1345 first mentioned. This year, the monastery Hradiště came from five villages to the Lords of Zvířetice. The transferred rights were limited initially only to the exercise of jurisdiction and enjoyment of the charges and corvée. After the destruction of the monastery in 1420 and the property passed to the lands to the secular power. 1605 passed in the three places a total of 26 full- farms, Čihátka is mentioned as a village with five houses.

Since the beginning of the 17th century was Ptýrov seat of one of ten members of the rule Mnichovo Hradiště Lower courts. The district remained as an administrative unit until the villages were amalgamated in 1980 to Klášter Hradiště. Since 1989, the four villages form a separate parish again.

Attractions

  • In Maníkovice is a late-baroque forest house which Nicolas Raimondi built in 1711 for Franz Josef von Waldstein. The corresponding former Forstrevier Klokočka is used as a hunting preserve.

The municipality consists of the four districts Čihátka, Maníkovice, Ptýrov and Ptýrovec.
