Punch-Out!! (arcade game)

Punch-Out! is an arcade boxing game that was developed in 1984 by Nintendo. It was the most popular game in 1984, had several successors, and already had voice output.

Game Description

The player must compete against six comic-like enemy in Boxduell. His figure is shown as a green wireframe model so that it can recognize better by the body's opponents. The input is via a 4- way joystick and three buttons ( punch with left arm, right arm and uppercuts / Uppercut ). The latter takes place over a larger key and can only be run if there is enough hits. A flashing KO display and the voice of a judge suggest. The arcade machine has two, one above the other standing monitors, where the top- only statistical data and images of the boxers showing.

Opponent

The opponents will naturally grow stronger and faster. Everyone has their own technique and funny comments. Some boxers come in several games, and sometimes there was also merchandising products.
