Push and Shove is the sixth studio album by the American band No Doubt. It was released on September 21, 2012 on Interscope Records. It is the comeback album of the band after nearly eleven years.

History

The band had paused for years for a Greatest Hits album in 2003. Gwen Stefani had pursued her solo career, during which they had released two albums. While touring Stefani The Sweet Escape 2006, began the other band members, to write music for a new No Doubt album. Since then Stefani gave birth to her second child, the development process further delayed. In 2010 it was reported that the band started in Hollywood, take first pieces. The album was recorded among others with Mark "Spike " Stent, who worked for the band already at Rocksteady. It emerged as original compositions only the eleven tracks on the album, as Japan bonus track was a remix of Settle Down by Jonas Quant selected. On the deluxe bonus CD includes more ( acoustic ) versions as well as a cover of Stand and Deliver by Adam and the Ants.

Reception

The website Focus.de awarded 4 out of 10. Lea Herrmann wrote: " On the new album no song can be found, which even remotely old songs of the band like Just a Girl or underneath it all could hold a candle. " She wrote that the band will not be able to repeat their former success. Wrote Sabrina Franco of Laut.de: " Fans will find on this album certainly a few beads, but will cut down the anyone. Push and Shove sounds like a solid but average pop album with a few highlights. "They were 3 of 5 stars.
