Rock Steady is the fifth studio album by the U.S. band No Doubt. It was published on 11 December 2001 on Interscope Records. It was the last album by the band to comeback push -and-shove, 2012.

History

No Doubt began the album in Los Angeles and San Francisco to write. In the latter city emerged, for example, the beginnings of the hit single Hey Baby together with Philip Steir. Using Pro Tools first rhythms were created. Following this, the band traveled to London and Jamaica to work with different producers and songwriters. These included about famous artists such as Sly & Robbie, The Neptunes and William Orbit. This diverse influences from around the Dancehall, Dub or from electronic music are included. The song Waiting Room sang and composed Prince.

Reception

The third single Underneath It All won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals at the Grammy Awards 2004. The album for the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammy Awards was nominated in 2003. Klaus Hardt of Laut.de awarded 3 of 5 stars. He criticized: " The problem with the drive is not the use of the many different styles, but the implementation. Most of the songs are easy to knit and therefore a bit boring. "When he raised his other hand, succeeded Hella Good Hey Baby and forth.
