Pusztaszabolcs

Pusztascabolcs is a town of 6,500 inhabitants in the district of Fejér. It is located about 50 km south of Budapest, 20 km from the Danube and 10 km from the Velencei lake.

Pusztascabolcs is a railway junction on the main line Budapest - Pécs with branches to Székesfehérvár and Dunaújváros. The city is well served by the M6 and M7 motorways.

Archaeological excavations at the Located on the outskirts Cikola lakes occupy settlements from the Bronze Age and the Roman period. Was named the place after the princes Szabolcs, who was in the early Árpáds the owner of this domain. The first written record comes from the year 1302.
