P'yŏngch'ŏn - guyŏk ( Pyongchon District ) is one of the 18 districts of Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea.

The southern boundary of the district forms the Taedong - gang to which the hijacked U.S. Navy ship USS Pueblo is located. In the north and west it is limited by the Potong - gang. To the east of the district is just across the railway line, the inner city district of Chung- guyŏk. The south of the Taedong - gang town part of the district is connected by the Chung Song Bridge. The Maxima Street is the central thoroughfare through of P'yŏngch'ŏn - guyŏk.

P'yŏngch'ŏn - guyŏk was in October 1960 by a mandate of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea to the independent district. He is known mainly because of the thermal power plant operated here, the main energy supplier of the capital.

In the district itself is the art troupe art studio, Jang Chol Gu Pyongyang Commercial University, the Pyongyang University of the Printing Industrial Arts and the Korea Okryu Combination Corporation. Especially for international visitors Pothong the hotel and the Ansan have been Chodasso Guest House furnished. At one of the largest factories include the silk mill Kim Jong -suk.

Traffic

The Maxima Street is a main thoroughfare of P'yŏngch'ŏn - guyŏk in the downtown district of Chung- guyŏk. The Pyongyang Metro stops P'yŏngch'ŏn - guyŏk at the station Puhung (复兴= resurrection ). This is more common starting point for subway rides for foreign visitors.

Administrative units

P'yŏngch'ŏn - guyŏk is in eleven administrative units divided Dongs. The largest districts, Ansan, Puksong, Haeun, Ryukkyo, Pyongchon and Saemaul are in turn subdivided into two administrative units.
