The Sunan Airport ( IATA: FNJ, ICAO: ZKPY ) is the commercial airport in the North Korean capital Pyongyang and the home base of the State Air Koryo.

Infrastructure

The airport has two start and runways. The larger of the two is mainly used for international flights, the smaller one for domestic flights and general aviation. In summer the airport is 6 to 22 clock in operation, in the winter it is open 7-21 clock. The airport also has a car park, business center, facilities for the disabled, a duty-free shop, airport lounge, a taxi stand, a branch of the Korea Trade Bank, a few souvenir shops and luggage compartments (operating 8-21 clock, the fee 1.5 North Korean won per piece of luggage ). Furthermore, there is a book shop ( open daily from 10 clock ), a restaurant and a bar, which each have opened 9-18 clock.

Airlines and destinations

Headquartered here Air Koryo currently offers regular scheduled flights to Beijing, Shenyang and Vladivostok.
