Quneitra Governorate
Quneitra (Arabic القنيطرة, DMG al - Qunaiṭira ) is a province in south-western Syria.
The capital is Quneitra. The population is estimated at 69,000 ( 2005). Here are the Golan Heights, which were occupied by Israel in 1967 Six Day War and later in 1973 in the Yom Kippur War. Since 1981, Israel has annexed the area.
