Rachel Luttrell
Rachel Luttrell ( born January 19, 1971 in Lushoto, Tanga, Tanzania) is a Canadian actress, singer and dancer who Street Legal and Stargate Atlantis made famous by the TV series.
Life
The parents, an American father and a Tanzanian mother wandered with Rachel and their three sisters to Canada when she was five years old. The whole family is very musical, hence she decided very early on to an artistic career. Her father, who is himself a member of the famous Mendelssohn Choir in Toronto, trained her soprano voice. She has also studied ballet at the prestigious Russian Academy of Classical Ballet School and piano at the Royal Conservatory of Music. She also got the meantime her son Caden.
Your first public appearance was at the Toronto premiere of Miss Saigon. Then she stepped in Beauty And The Beast and Las Meninas on. This was followed by further stage performances in Seattle and California. She became famous in 1990 by the Canadian television series Street Legal as Veronica Beck.
In the summer of 2003 she studied Shakespeare in Oxford with the British / American Drama Association. After several guest appearances in various television series and films, she received the 2004 in the series Stargate Atlantis a major role. Where she sang the battle-hardened leader Teyla Emmagan. As a trained singer (soprano ) sings her part in the 13th episode of the second season, Critical Mass, the series itself
