Rafael Leitão

Rafael Duailibe Leitão ( born December 28, 1979 in São Luís ), is a Brazilian chess player.

His biggest success was the world champion of the U-18 in 1996. Moreover, it was in the years 2006 and 2007 divided champion of Brazil. In 1998 he was awarded the grandmaster title.

From 1996 to 2006, and 2010 and 2012 he represented his native country and in each case at the Chess Olympiads.

His current Elo rating is 2617 (as of October 2012), his previous highest was 2640 in January 2012 until January 2007, he led the Brazilian Elo ranking. .
