Raghu Vira

Raghu Vira (Hindi: रघु वीर Raghu Vira, born December 30, 1902 in Rawalpindi, † May 14, 1963 ) was an Indian scholar and politician.

Raghu Vira was from 1934 founding director of the International Academy of Indian Culture in Lahore. He was editor of classical texts in Sanskrit and Pali. He was chairman of the All India January Sangh party.

Vira is known as a writer of India and Asia and publisher of the Satapitaka - book series ( Sata - Pitaka Series), which is continued by his son Lokesh Chandra. The series has been published since 1957 in New Delhi and comprises over 600 volumes.
