Raguhn-Jeßnitz

The city Raguhn - Jeßnitz is a unit municipality in the district of Anhalt- Bitterfeld, in Saxony- Anhalt.

It was created on 1 January 2010 by the merger of the municipalities Altjeßnitz, Jeßnitz (Anhalt ), brand, Raguhn, Retzau, Schierau, Thurland and Tornau before the heathen who once belonged to the administrative community Raguhn.

Geography

History

The district was Möst 1613-1629 affected by witch hunts. Elizabeth, wife of the carpenter Asmus Schirstädt, and the widow of Michael Korting were caught in a witch trial and were burned.
