Raich is since 1 January 2009, a district of the municipality in the district of Lörrach Small meadow valley in Baden- Württemberg.

Geography

Raich is located in the Black Forest Nature Park in the valley of the Little Meadow in 560-1160 meters above sea level. About 70 % of the previous municipal area is wooded.

Structure

In the territory of the former community of Raich villages Raich, Hoheneggstraße, Oberhäuser and Ried, the court Scheurenhof and the individual houses and groups of houses Am Rain, Burstel and hole houses are ( in the hole ). History

On 1 January 2009, the previously separate municipality Raich was incorporated into the newly established village of Little meadow valley.

Policy

Until the dissolution of the municipality of the political organs of the honorary mayor and the council consisted of eight members. Seat of the local municipality was the town hall, built in 1868 in the district of Ried.

The former village belonged until its dissolution on 1 January 2009 Gemeindeverwaltungsverband " Small meadow valley " located in Tegernau.

Economy

In the 19th century the villages were considered quite wealthy peasant settlements.
