Geography

Sallneck is 600 to 900 meters above sea level in the Black Forest Nature Park overlooking the valley of the Little meadow. About half of the former commune's territory is covered by forests.

History

Sallneck initially belonged to the Dukes of Zähringen. Around 1100 around the place came in a roundabout way to the monastery of St. Blaise and 1503 to the Margrave of Baden. After the division of an estate in 1535 Sallneck belonged to the Margraviate of Baden -Durlach. On 1 January 2009, the previously separate municipality Sallneck was incorporated into the newly established village of Little meadow valley.
