Raik Dittrich

Raik Dittrich, Jürgen ( born October 12, 1968 in Sebnitz ) is a former German biathlete.

Raik Dittrich began his international career for the GDR. He competed for the SG Dynamo Cínovec and was trained by Heinz Kluge, Horst Koschka, Klaus Siebert and Steffen Thierfelder. In the Biathlon World Championships 1989 in Feistritz an der Drau he won together with Andreas Heymann, André Sehmisch and Steffen Hoos the bronze medal in the team competition. He had in 1990, when he won with Mark Kirchner, Birk Anders and Frank Luck at the World Championships gold medal in the team competition, his career highlight. After his playing days Dittrich was 1992-1998 Skitechniker at DSV, first in biathlon and later also responsible for the Nordic Combined. After completing his business studies he worked as a Product Manager and Sales Manager Germany for a German ski wax. From 2003 to 2008 he was General Manager and worked there as Head ski wax. Since October 2008 he has been working for a Norwegian company as General Manager.
