Rajecká Lesná

Rajecká Lesná ( until 1948 " Frývald - Trstená " - to 1927 " Trstená - Frývald " German Friewald, Hungarian Frivaldnádas - to 1907 Trsztyennafrivald ) is a municipality in the north-western Slovakia, in Žilinská kotlina ( Žilina boiler) near the river Rajčianka, at the foot Mala Fatra.

The village is about 5 km south of Rajec, 25 km from Zilina and is a place of pilgrimage.

The community formed by the union of the places Frývald and Trstená, which lies further west beyond the Rajčianka. Frývald was first mentioned in 1413 as Friwald.

Through the capital flows that Lesnianka and then flows into the Rajčianka.
