Ralph Edwards
Ralph Livingstone Edwards ( born June 23, 1913 in near Merino, Colorado, † November 16, 2005 in Los Angeles ) was an American radio and television presenter.
Life
In the 1930s, Edwards hosted the game show Truth or Consequences. This radio show was so successful that in 1950 even renamed a city in Truth or Consequences. Well-known TV shows Edwards had This is your life and the court show, The people 's court. In 1937 he made a guest appearance in the music film Manhattan Merry- Go-Round.
By 1999 Ralph Edwards was represented on television with various shows and thus has one of the longest careers in television on. Since 1995 he was a member of the Radio Hall of Fame. In addition, Edwards was the winner of several Emmys.
Ralph Edwards died on 16 November 2005 at his home in West Hollywood.
