Rama Government

As a result of the general election of June 23, 2013, in Albania the Socialist Party (PS ) along with their coalition partners the government. The party leader Edi Rama is the prime minister. The coalition partners Socialist Movement for Integration ( LSI) will conduct five of 19 ministries. A novelty is equipped with six ministers of the so far highest percentage of women in an Albanian government. In addition, the Defense Department is led by a woman for the first time.

The leader of the Socialists Edi Rama presented on 31 July 2013, the list of the names of the ministers and their allocation. Rama was sworn in on 10 September 2013 as the Head of State Prime Minister Bujar Nishani. The new government, the Cabinet Rama was sworn in on 15 September 2013.
