Ramazan Tunç

Ramazan Tunç ( born September 17, 1975 in Gümüşhane ) is a former Turkish football player. Through his work for Gaziantepspor he is associated with this club. He was a constant player in the starting eleven in the most successful period of the club.

Playing career

Association

Tunç learned to play football, among others in the youth department of the first division club MKE Ankaragucu. In 1994 he moved as a professional player for third division Kastamonuspor. In this club he made his first experience as a professional player and returned after one season and twelve League games back as a professional player to Ankaragucu. In the first division club Ankaragucu he conquered during his first season erinen regular place and kept it until his retirement in the summer of 1997. During his last two years at the Brussels residents, he rose to the Turkish U-21 national team and was one of the youngsters in the league.

For the season 1997/98 he moved within the first league to Gaziantepspor. In this club is Tunç conquered immediately secured a regular place. His club fought but end of the season for the down and avoided this problem only on the final day. For the season 1998/98 Hüseyin Kalpar took over as coach in Gaziantepspor. With this coach, the club took care of several surprises and finished the season in 7th place in the table. In the season 1999/2000 Kalpar left after two days Gaziantepspor and was replaced by Sakıp Özberk. Under this new coach Tunç kept his place and went with his performances on the Turkish national team. His team finished the season in third place, achieved the best finish in club history and qualified as for the UEFA Cup. In the new season, the club started with the new coach Erdoğan Arıca. Arıca but was replaced after matchday 15 of his predecessor Özberk again. Under this coach Tunç ' team held until the end of the season a little points off the table top and kept the chances for the championship. In the penultimate match Gaziantepspor met in the home game at Galatasaray. This team was with only two points ahead of the second place in the table. In the event of a victory would Tunç ' team Galatasaray replace on the second place in the table and get a great shot at the second Champion League spot. The embattled match Gaziantepspor lost. The season ended the club on the third place in the table and thus repeated the Vereinsbestmarke. In the new season Tunç lost his playground and only played about half of the possible games.

After Tunç had lost his place at Gaziantepspor, he was loaned out for the season 2002 /03 to the league rivals Diyarbakirspor. Here worked with Hüseyin Kalpar a former coach of Tunç, who brought his old player to his new place of work. After his rental period with this club he joined in the summer of 2003 finally Diyarbakirspor. After another year at Diyarbakirspor Tunç hired in the summer of 2005 at the newly promoted Ankaraspor and played here over the next three and a half seasons. For the second half of the season 2007/ 08 left Tunç Ankaraspor direction city rivals Etimesgut Şekerspor, but returned already for the summer of 2008 back to Ankaraspor.

After his second period at Ankaraspor he played for Bugsas Spor and finished here in the spring of 2012 his active football career as a player.

National

Tunç played during his time at MKE Ankaragucu and Gaziantepspor several times Turkish U-21 national team. Between his appearances for the U -21 Tunç was nominated as part of a Test match for the first time in the squad of the Turkish national team and was during a game of 12 February 1997 against the Finnish national team his international debut.

With the Olympic selection Turkey Tunç took part in the 1997 Mediterranean Games and won the silver medal.

During his most successful club career time Tunç was nominated in 2000 and 2001 two more times for the cadres of the Turkish national team and completed two more internationals.
