RareÈ™ Dumitrescu

Rareş Dumitrescu ( born December 24, 1983 in Braşov, Romania) is a Romanian saber fencer. He fights for Dinamo Bucharest.

Achievements

In 2006 Rareş Dumitrescu erfocht his first international gold medal at the World Cup in Sofia, in 2007 he managed the same at the World Cup in Budapest. In 2008 he won first place, finished at the Olympic Games in Beijing Dumitrescu eleventh place in the individual at the Grand Prix in Madrid. In 2009, Dumitrescu defeated at the World Championships in Antalya, the Italian fencer Aldo Montano, but lost the final against Nicolas Limbach and received the silver medal. He also wins the World Cup in Warsaw and again at the Grand Prix in Budapest, which he won in 2010 and 2011. In 2012, at the Olympic Games in London Dumitrescu won silver with the Romanian team and reached the fourth place in the individual.
