Rasa JukneviÄienÄ—
Rasa Juknevičienė, girls. Urbonaitė; ex. Rastauskienė ( born January 26, 1958 at village Tiltagaliai, rayon Panevėžys) is Lithuanian politician and a pediatrician. She was in the Kubilius government Minister of Defence of Lithuania (2008-2012 ).
Life
Education, occupation
From 1965 to 1976 Rasa Urbonaitė learned at the 10th Middle School Panevėžys and after high school she studied from 1977 to 1983 at the Institute of Medicine Kaunas. She then worked in Zentralkrankenkaus Panevėžys (1983 ), 1984-1990 in the hospital Pasvalys as a pediatrician.
Political career
In 1988 she became a member of the national movement Sąjūdis and Council President of the local chapter of Pasvalys. Since 1990 she has been elected a member of the Seimas. She was from 1999 to 2000 Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
From December 2008 to 2012 was Rasa Juknevičienė Minister of Defence of Lithuania.

Rasa Juknevičienė is married to lawyer Zenonas Juknevicius, lawyer, former politician, Lithuanian Minister of Justice.
