Rashad Evans

Rashad Anton Evans ( born September 25, 1979) is an American mixed martial arts fighter from Lansing, Michigan.

Life and martial arts career

Rashad Evans has seven siblings. During his high school years at the Niagara Wheatfield High School in Niagara County in New York, he was twice all-state wrestler. After graduating in 1998, he went to the Niagara County Community College, where he led the National Junior College championship in wrestling to 165 won the 2000 lb (75 kg). His MMA career began in 2004 with victories in Danger Zone - Cage Fighting. About Gladiator Challenge he reached 2005 Ultimate Fighting Championship, where he won the second season of The Ultimate Fighter. In December 2008, he won by Forrest Griffin UFC Light Heavyweight championship title, but lost it again in the subsequent fight against Lyoto Machida.
