Rasmus Kofoed

Rasmus Kofoed ( born August 22, 1974 in Næstved ) is a Danish chef. The Copenhagen restaurant Geranium, which he runs with Søren Ledet, since 2013 leads two stars in the Michelin Guide.

Kofoed was trained in Copenhagen hotel d' Angleterre. He has worked in Scholteshof in the Belgian Stevoort, after which he was head chef at Elverhøj, the egoists and then in Tyven, cocci, Hans Kone og Instant Elsker. When he was head chef at Krog's Fiskerestaurant, Ledet was his Sous Chef. After that, he was head chef at Restaurant Gastronomique and the Copenhagen commander.

The geranium inspired Kofoed and Ledet for her own restaurant, this should be " sensual and green" ( " sanselig above grøn "). On September 22, 2010, she opened the geranium, which was in 2012 awarded its first Michelin star. Prizes and awards

In 2003 he was elected to the Danish Chef of the Year. At this time he worked at Krog's Fiskerestaurant. In 2010, he won the European semi-finals of the Bocuse d'Or. In 2011 he won the Goldbocuse the Bocuse d'Or in Lyon. 2013 was a juror in the selection of the Danish participant for the European semi-finals of the Bocuse d'Or 2014.
