Rauf Mamedov

Rauf Məmmədov (or Mamedov; born April 26, 1988 in Baku ) is an Azerbaijani chess player.

International Master he was in 2003, Grand Master he is since 2004. In August 2004, he was in Urgup U16 European Champion. Three times he won the Azerbaijani Individual Championship: in March 2006, January 2007 and January 2008, all three championships were held in Baku..

For the Azerbaijani national team he participated in six chess Olympiads: 2004, 2006 and 2008 on the first reserve board in 2010 on the third and on the fourth board in 2012 with a total score of 16, = 17, -9. In two European Team Championships, 2007 and 2009, he also played on each reserve board.
