Raufoss IL

Raufoss Idrettslag is a Norwegian sports club. The football team of the club from Raufoss played several years top notch.

History

The club was founded in 1918 in the debut season of 1937/38, the founding members of the first, staged in several seasons Norwegian league. Until the outbreak of the Second World War, the team played in the rear of the League Season District III, but remained in the makings. After the season 1947/48 the game farm had been resumed, the club finished second of the season. He had to dismount because due to concentrations of only the best season to qualify for the henceforth discharged in two seasons Hovedserien 1948/49. Only for season 1957/58 the club managed to return to the excellence in which the team endured until 1960. In the season of 1964 he managed again for one season and then played the return of 1973-1974 again two seasons in the first division.

Raufoss IL had established itself in the second Norwegian league. After the turn of the millennium the team took multiple top positions in the league, but missed the re- return to excellence. After they had reached the 2003 quarter-finals of the national cup and into fourth place in the Adecco Ligaen, they dismounted in the third division the following year. In the third class 2 divisjon she missed as runner direct resurgence, which was accomplished in the following year. Although the club finished second in the Second Division with the eleventh rank a non- relegation zone, but received no license for the following year and had relegated.

In the third division Raufoss IL -placed initially in the front league area. After a fourth place in the first year the team missed in 2009 than in second behind Ranheim Fotball the resurgence.
