Raúl Banfi

Raúl Banfi out as Raoul Banfi, ( born November 14, 1914 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan footballer who played as a center forward.

Life

Raúl Banfi began his career in 1937 with the Argentine club Racing Club de Avellaneda. However, here there are conflicting data, because other sources situate him to start career at Racing Club of Montevideo. He remained there until he in the season 1939/40, the then Serie A club FC Modena changed. In his first season in Modena the club was relegated to Serie B, where Banfi succeeded in the following season, the final breakthrough and was able to achieve 22 goals in 24 games. His marksmanship meant that Juventus secured the services of the Uruguayan. In Turin, but he could not enforce, so he again returned to Modena FC after just one season. His last two seasons in Italy, he graduated in Serie B 1946/46 for AC Mantova and 1946/47 for AC Prato.
