Raúl Francisco Primatesta

Raúl Francisco Cardinal Primatesta ( born April 14, 1919 in Capilla del Señor, Argentina, † May 1, 2006 Córdoba) was Archbishop of Córdoba ( Argentina).

Life

Raúl Francisco Primatesta completed his philosophical and theological studies with the licentiate for the subjects of Catholic theology and exegesis of the New Testament at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. On 25 October 1942 he received by Archbishop Luigi Traglia the sacrament of Holy Orders. He taught first at the minor seminary of his native diocese of Latin and Greek, before he was appointed at the local seminary professor of dogmatic theology and Biblical theology and the role of the Disciplinary Prefect, later took over the rain.

On June 14, 1957, he was named by Pope Pius XII. Titular Bishop of Tanais and appointed him as Auxiliary Bishop of La Plata.
