Rebecca Torr

Rebecca Torr (born 15 March 1990 in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty ) is a New Zealand snowboarder.

Biography

Torr started in 2002 at the age of only 12 years, her snowboard career at Mount Ruapehu Competitive Freestyle Team, under the leadership of the former snowboarder Jody Blatchley, on Mount Ruapehu in Te Puke. In 2010 she took first time in a slopestyle event of the FIS in part, as part of the Snowboard Junior World Championship, at the professional level in Wanaka, Stoneham in Canada in part and was awarded the "Ball Park Rookie of the Year " Award. This was followed by her 2012 senior debut at the X Games in Aspen (Colorado ) before she gave her snowboard World Cup debut in Oslo, Norway. In this World Cup in 2012, they celebrated with the 11 course, a considerable success.

Slopestyle Event at the Snowboard World Cup on January 19, 2014 in Stoneham; she celebrated her with a 9th place, their biggest success to date. A month later, she took part in the Winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014 for her home country New Zealand.

Personal

Torr was born and grew up in neighboring Tauranga Te Puke on the Western Bay of Plenty District. There she attended primary school Fairhaven School Te Puke before 2008 to continue her formal education at the Te Puke High School in 2004. In the context of the Olympics, they outed himself as user of the dating app Tinder, which earned her a media promising meeting with the Jamaican Bob team.
