Red Hills Lake County AVA ( recognized since July 12, 2004) is an American Viticultural Area in the U.S. state of California. The area is located in the southwest of the administrative area of ​​Lake County. The wine-growing area with a protected designation of origin is located on the southwestern shore of Clear Lake. The vineyards lie at the foot of Mount Konocti, an extinct volcano. The vineyards lie at an altitude of 430 m to 910 m. With an annual rainfall 640-1000 mm, the climate is comparatively humid.
