Redcliffe, Queensland

Redcliffe is a city in the Australian state of Queensland and is located on a peninsula in the Moreton Bay in Brisbane.

On September 13, 1824, the first penal colony in Queensland was founded on " Red Cliffs Point". This moved the following year to the Brisbane River around and it lasted until the end of the 19th century, to Redcliffe was inhabited again. After the Transport links were improved in the 1930s, the settlement grew into a town of about 51,000 inhabitants today.
