Redemption (Band)

Redemption is an American progressive metal band Metal-/Power.

The band consists of former and current members of Fates Warning and Prymary. Previous occupations were also partly of members of Symphony X and Steel Prophet.

History

Led by guitarist Nick van Dyk originally sang Rick Mythiasin with the band, while Bernie Versailles of Agent Steel guitar and Jason Rullo played drums. Michel Romeo was responsible for the symphonic arrangements. Mythiasin left the band in 2003, so 9 joined Corey Brown of magnitude. He sang with live performances of the band until Ray Alder of Fates Warning, who had already sung a song on the debut album, agreed to be redemptions singer. The first album on which he worked as a singer, was The Fullness of Time in 2005.

The band accompanied last Dream Theater Systematic Chaos on their U.S. tour to support their album, published in 2007, The Origins of Ruin. In March 2009, a Live-CD/DVD was published, entitled Frozen in the Moment. The end of September in the same year appeared the fourth studio album Snowfall on Judgement Day in Europe, on October 6th in North America.
