Reginar II, Count of Hainaut

Reginar II ( † after 932) was 916-932 Count of Hainaut, of 916 to that of the West Frankish king Charles III page. the Simple occur in records and played no part in the rebellion of his brother Giselbert against the king, therefore, with his brother fell in battle, but later again reconciled with this.

Origin

Reginar II came from the European aristocracy family of Reginare. He was the second son of niederlothringischen dux and marchio Reginar I and his wife Alberada ( cl 916-919 ). Life

Reginar for the first time with his brother on January 19, 916 at the West Frankish king Charles III page. the Simple in Herstal mentioned in a document. He already bore the title of count ( comes ), but contemporary sources give no information on when it was used in Hainault as Count.
