Reiko Nakamura

Reiko Nakamura (Japanese中 村 礼 子, Reiko Nakamura, born May 17, 1982 in Yokohama ) is a Japanese swimmer back.

Reiko Nakamura had her international breakthrough at the Summer Universiade in 2001 in Beijing, where she won gold in 200m backstroke. On the same route, she won the Short Course World Championships in Moscow in 2002 silver behind Lindsay Benko. In 2003, at the Universiade again added gold in 200m backstroke, silver 100m backstroke and bronze in the 4 × 100 meter medley relay. On their special range of 200 m backstroke Nakamura also won the bronze medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. About 100 m backstroke she missed another medal just as fourth. With the 4 × 100 meter medley relay was fifth.
