René Pétillon

René Pétillon ( born December 12, 1945 in Lesneven ) is a French comic book artist and cartoonist.

René Pétillon recorded for various magazines before he came in 1972 to Pilote, where in 1974 his main character Jack Palmer, a bit sappy appearing private investigator created. The Comics with Jack Palmer have humorous to reaching the slapstick, sometimes satirical trains and have been published in various journals. For Yves Got, he wrote the scenario for the series Le Baron noir which appeared from 1976 to 1981.

The twelfth Jack Palmer L' Enquête Corse album deals with the Corsican nationalism and was in France and Corsica a success. The album served as the basis for the 2004 release of the same film by Alain Berberian with Christian Clavier and Jean Reno.

Since 1993, he draws cartoons and caricatures for the satirical magazine Le Canard enchaîné.

Awards

He received the 1989 Grand Prix de la Ville d' Angoulême, the album l' Enquête corse 2001 he received the distinction of Best Album. In 2002 he received the Grand prix de l'humor vache at the Salon international du dessin de presse et d'humor in Saint -Just- le -Martel.
