Republic Airlines is an American regional airline based in Indianapolis and is a subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings. It operates a large part of their fleet currently for U.S. Airways Express and the sister Frontier Airlines.

History

Republic Airlines was founded in 1973. The name Republic Airlines revived to bypass the pilot clause for regional jets " Major Airlines ," after which the feeder airlines were allowed to use any machines with more than 50 seats.
