Shuttle America is an American regional airline based in Indianapolis and is a subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings.

History

Founding and first years

Shuttle America was founded in 1995 and began flight operations on 12 November 1998 as a low cost airline. The headquarters was located in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, and the home base at Hartford 's Bradley International Airport. She began scheduled service with the connection from Hartford, Connecticut to Buffalo, New York. The first aircraft was a Dash8 - 311. The route network and fleet of Shuttle America grew in the first year very quickly.
