Resovia Rzeszów

Resovia Rzeszów is a Polish sports club from Rzeszow. The club was founded on 1905 was one of the first Polish football clubs in addition to the teams from Lviv and Krakow and is considered the oldest founded on today's Polish territory still existing football club, although this is disputed by some experts who see the club Cracovia Krakow as the oldest club.

Football Division

Existed in 1905 in Rzeszów, a football team that called itself successively Czerwono - Czarni, Championy and Resovia. 1909 this team was officially registered under the name Resovia.

Volleyball department

The volleyball players of Resovia play under the name Asseco Resovia Rzeszów in Polish Volleyball League. In February 2008, the club qualified for the Final Four tournament in the Challenge Cup. In the season 2010/ 11, the men played with newcomer George Grozer junior very successful in the CEV Cup and reached the semi-finals. 2011/12 we even reached the finals of the CEV Cup and was named after 37- year break Polish Champion. 2013 could successfully defend the championship with the help of Jochen Schoeps.

Basketball Division

The basketball player in 1975 Polish Basketball Champion. In the title race against Wisla Krakow sat down by and took a master in the following year to qualifying for the European Cup of Champions part where Resovia but could not prevail. In the 1977/ 78 nor followed by a participation in the Korac Cup.
