Reuver

Reuver (pronounced: " Rover " ) is a Dutch town in the province of Limburg. Reuver between the Meuse and the parallel to its border with Germany. Reuver is the capital and seat of the municipality of the parish Beesel.

By incorporations of cities, the municipality Beesel on the right side of the Meuse is the last remaining rural community between Roermond and Venlo in the south to the north. The neighboring German communities are Brüggen and Nettetal.

Reuver consists of the districts Offenbeek ( 4,786 inhabitants in late 2005 ) and Reuver ( 6,210 inhabitants). Offenbeek and Reuver have grown together in the settlement core and form, with around 11,000 inhabitants, the city Reuver, located at Rijksweg 73

The Catholic St. Lambertus Church from 1880 is an important neo-Gothic building designed by architect John Kayser.

Reuver was formerly heavily industrialized characterized by many companies in the clay and ceramics industry, some of which still exist today. The town has a railway station and the largest commercial center between Roermond and Venlo. Nationally known is the holiday park of Landal " De Lommerbergen ".
