Beesel

Beesel ( listen? / I ) is a Dutch municipality of the province of Limburg and was on 1 January 2013 as declared by the CBS 13,685 inhabitants. Beesel between the Meuse and the parallel to its border with Germany. By incorporations Beesel is the last remaining rural community on the right side of the Meuse between Roermond and Venlo in the south to the north. The neighboring German communities are Brüggen and Nettetal.

Districts

The municipality consists of the villages Beesel ( 2,525 inhabitants in late 2005 ), Offenbeek ( 4,786 inhabitants) and Reuver ( 6,210 inhabitants). Offenbeek and Reuver have grown together in the settlement core and form, with around 11,000 inhabitants, the town Reuver, located on the Limburg Rijksweg. Beesel is an agrarian village embossed on the Meuse, off the main road. The administrative center is Reuver.
