The selected design consists of five stripes, which are divided in the ratio 1:1:2:1:1. Two blue streams flow through the yellow valley, the three French lilies are an item that is attributable to the historical heritage of the community Klimmen, which was up 968 property of the French queen Gerberga.

The coat of arms

Until 1777 Voerendaal belonged to Heerlen, except seven years when it was owned by Willem van Cortenbach. From 1777 Voerendaal has an independent advice.

Because Heerlen, and thus Voerendaal, one of the main juror chairs of Valkenburg was seen in the coat of arms the lion of Valkenburg. The person depicted is the Holy Laurentius, a patron of the church.

The former municipality has requested mirrored in the first application the crest, but the High Council of the nobility put the Saints on the first field, the place of honor, and refused the request.

The community logo

The coat of arms was used until 1991 for the stationery of the old municipality Voerendaal. From 1 January 1992, the new logo has been set, which is now used for all community documents. The logo can be seen on the top left on the official website of the municipality Voerendaal. The "V" in the logo stands for Voerendaal; the four large windows symbolize the four largest villages ( Ransdaal, Kunrade, Klimmen, Ubachsberg ).
