Rhino (wrestler)

Terry Gerin ( born October 7, 1975 in Detroit, Michigan ) is an American professional wrestler, who is currently under contract with Ring of Honor. He is better known by the ring name Rhino, formerly Rhyno. Terry Gerin is a recovering alcoholic.

Career

Terry Gerin was trained by Scott D'Amore, among others and began his career in 1994 under the name Terry Richards in regional leagues in Michigan, as well as a jobber in the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE). Later Gerin appeared as Rhino Richards mainly in Canada, where he wrestled together with Jason Reso and Adam Copeland.

Extreme Championship Wrestling

Extreme Championship Wrestling committed Gerin in 1999 and let him compete under the name Rhino along with Steve Corino for the ECW World Tag Team Championship. He later feuded with The Sandman. After Rhino was lost in March 2000, the final of the tournament for the ECW World Television Championship against Super Crazy, he won the title a month later by Yoshihiro Tajiri. Just days after losing the title to Kid Kash in August he brought him back from selbigem.

The feud with the Sandman persisted for months. The Sandman was able to secure early January 2001 the ECW World Heavyweight Championship from Steve Corino, but right after the match, Rhino defeated his rival in a squash match and became the new champion. Rhino united then the World Title and the Television Title, which he created the Unified ECW World Heavyweight Championship. He stayed until the bankruptcy of ECW in April 2001 titleholder.

World Wrestling Federation

Immediately after the dissolution of the ECW was obliged Terry Gerin of the WWF (now WWE). After his return to the now renamed World Wrestling Entertainment League to Rhyno teamed with Chris Benoit and defeated him at WrestleMania XIX WWE Tag Team Champions Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas. In July 2003, after turning against his partner and joined now mainly on SmackDown! the WWE United States Championship at. After his move to RAW in the spring of 2004, teamed with Rhyno Tajiri.
