Rhodian vase painting

The Rhodian vase painting was a regional style of Greek vase painting.

The Rhodian vase painting (named after the island of Rhodes ) belongs to the eastern Greek vase painting. It is particularly known for its so-called Rhodian plate. They are made in polychrome technique, some details are carved as with the Black figure vase painting. To 560-530 BC prevail based on Egyptian models Situlae.
